Vermont

Vermont was the first state to join the United States after the 13 Colonies and the first to abolish slavery in its constitution. This ‘Green Mountain State’ is stocked with over 50 State Parks and 100 Camping Sites–quite impressive for a comparatively small state. Vermont has also produced many notable figures in history including its many U.S. Olympic Skiers and Riders; United States President Calvin Coolidge and President Chester A. Arthur; and Prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Joseph Smith Jr. and Brigham Young.
